Contest 37 Internal door locks
« on: 28 May, 2013, 16:00:45 »
Hi

I am looking to replace some corroded door locks on a Contest 37, there a stamp on the face plate but no markings to suggest the manufacturer.  Has anyone replaced their locks recently?

Hi,

no foto, so I donĀ“t know if you have the same ones installed as I have on my 29. However, I repaced with parts from toplicht in Germany. They have an online shop which you can find here: www.toplicht.de

Best regards

Alex

Hi Bileckyj,

I work for the company that delivered most of the locks.
Please send a photo. Probably can help you to more information.
You can also order it at M.Y.S. (see  http://www.contestyachts.com/NL/31/mys.html)

Regards,

Eric

Hi Bileckyj,

That is very clear to me!

The doorlock is made bij Mobella (Sweden) and the Rimlock is made bij Lamp (Sugatsune - Japan)
Unfortunately our company did not deliver these two locks to Contest, so I can not help you to it.
The best I can advise you is to Google for the Mobella Marine Locks distributor in your country. (or try this Swedish website http://www.onmar.se/en-GB/locks--latches/cabin-c-271-1.aspx  )

About Lamp: see   http://sugatsune.com/locks/  This is the website of the manufacturer. Perhaps you can find the distributor in your country.

Regards,

Eric
